MicMac FEA/MD-Nastran error

When running the open hole by mic-mac FEA 4.7 MD Nastran at some point the program locks and does not respond. It does not give any error message but I can not get it to the end either inside and outside gui. Any recommendation?

Hello Altan,

There are several things that you can do to isolate the problem.

Just to unfreeze the system, the first step is to delete the file "LOCK", that will be in the MDNASTRAN folder that is one level down from your spreadsheet location.
Then the spreadsheet will be active again.

Next look in the MDNASTRAN folder.
If you were running in GUI mode, you will have a Patran session probably still open. Did Patran startup successfully? Is there a model or anything on the Patran screen? Look at the latest .ses extension file to see what happened from Patran.

While Patran is up, a Nastran model is written out, the analysis executed, and then the results file opened for Post-Processing. Did a Nastran .bdf file get written?
If the Nastran run got submitted, you will have .log, .F04, and .F06 files that will show what happened in the analysis run.
