Is there a general suggestion w.r.t. the tutorial to either choose Nastran or Abaqus?
I noticed that within the book Abaqus is used.

We work with both software
We work with both software and we believe that both are excellent (leaders in their field). We are not in a position to suggest one of them to the participants. You may consider various factors in your decision(e.g., if you company is already using one of them; recommendations from your colleague, versions we are offering, etc.).

MD Nastran Stanford Edition
Pranav,
Is the MD Nastran Stanford edition can be considered as a standard edition of MD Nastran?
I have looked at Nastran's homepage and noticed that failure analysis is available only in the MD Nastran professional edition. Do you use MD Nastran's failure analysis or just use it as a FE solver?
