Tutorial feedback

Dear tutorial participants,

As we approach to the halfway of our tutorial, we would
like to have some feedback from you concerning the
material presented, the system, the support, etc. The
homework assignments were a way to get part of this
feedback. However, not many people are completing the
assignments, which I would like to remind are required
for CEU grading.

Your feedback is very important to us, in order to make
this tutorial more effective for you guys. We want to convey
our messages as clearly as possible. We got some feedback
concerning the amount of material covered and the speed
on our last two sessions. We are actually covering the complete
Laminate Plate Theory in only three sessions. It is a lot of
material in such a short time, we know. However, this is a step
necessary for the non-experts to be comfortable enough to
understand other important topics to be covered in future
sessions.

We would like to suggest you some tips to take the most of
the material presented, reminding that all the slides presented
have respective notes that explain their contents:

1) No need to read the book. Slides notes may be sufficient
since they are the highlights. Notes explain the material of the
slide, specifically.

2) Download the session slides in advance, print them, read
the notes in each slide. Mark the muddy points that you may
need to clarify. Formulate your questions in advance.

3) Do not need to wait to the live session to ask questions.
We are able to answer questions posted on our Forum
webpage (or by email) at any time. This is the main purpose
of the Forum - collect and spread information through
Questions and Answers. We believe that this may help to
get the most of the live
session.

4) Try to play with the Mic Mac tools, even for simple problems.
Confidence comes with practise. Use Mic Mac on homework
assignments.

5) Use the Forum. It could help to address doubts and spread
information. Pranav will make possible to post as "anonymous"
for those who are shy.

Try to do this for next week's session. The subject will be strength
of laminates. We will post the slides for downloading tomorrow.
This subject is parallel to the laminate stiffness which was covered
so far. You should be able to get an inside look and understand most
of it without having the other subjects yet settled.

One last thing - we will be happy to schedule extra-sessions to cover
the material in a more slow pace so that you could have the muddy
points clarified. We actually do this every week for the native language
sessions (French, Spanish and Portuguese). In these sessions we
perform slide-by-slide Q&A session. We could do this as many times
as necessary to have you comfortable with the subjects.

Please send us your thoughts on how you guys are experiencing the
tutorial so far. Again, your feedback is very important to us.
